Introduction

The course has been designed within the confines of a Residencial Property Development ‘Mirador De Lobos Golf’, and cannot be fully appreciated from anywhere directly outside of the development.

Designed on 9 holes, the course takes into account the contours and landscape of the Parque Natural region and is designed very much with the prevailing north, north/westerly wind in mind, making most of the Par 3 holes that club selection all so important.

The course is set out generally on the flat; however seven of the holes are located with the basin of the development, and are protect by water hazards, therefore requiring accurate tee to green hitting to enable a good score. The first two holes are on the upper level of the course and gently settle you into your game; although with fast undulating greens could set you back on your score before you really get going.

Dress code

Many golf courses have dress codes, and we appreciate that a number of people looking to play will be on holiday, so the dress code is not as strict. A pair of khaki shorts or slacks and a collared polo shirt is acceptable, but no football shirts.

It must also be noted that, denim jeans, beach wear, vests or no shirt at all!! Is not acceptable and clients will asked to provide a change of clothing to use the course and clubs house facilities.

With regards to foot wear, spiked golf shoes are not allowed, only soft plastic spikes, or smart trainers will be acceptable, NO sandals or flip flop style shoes are permitted due to the terrain of the course and for your personal safety.

Prices

Green fees are 20 Euros for 18 holes or (Two Rounds) and 13 Euros for 9 holes (One Round).

Club Hire

In order to play the course a maximum of three golf clubs will be required and these will depend on your individual game and ability, however normally a Pitching / Sand Wedge and Putter are suitable for most players. If you are unable to provide your own, these clubs can be hired from the club house for 5 Euros with a refundable 20Euro deposit required, additional golf balls are also available to purchase as new or used.

Hole By Hole Guide:

The 1st Hole over 72mtrs is a straight forward shot without any major hazards, although depending on the pin position a too far right shot will be out-of-bounds. The Green of 34mtrs in length and slopes from left to right with an up hill putt from front to the back of the green makes this a testing first hole.

The 2nd Hole of 62mtrs is much shorter than the 1st, however don’t let looks deceive you. This 30mtr green is fast and runs from front to back with any over hit rolling off the green and over the cliff too an out-of-bounds. A Drop zone is provided. Also a large sandy bunker can be brought into play dependent on the pin position.

The 3rd Hole will test your short game skills, with a delicate chip required from an elevated tee position at 64mtrs to the green. With a dangerous bunker and long grass protecting this hole your chose of club and shot could be the difference to your score, there is plenty of room for mistakes on this testing little hole.

The 4th Hole at 88mtrs is possibly the most attractive and difficult hole on the course with its elevated tee position on the hill looking out across the lake to a 35mtr three tier green. Again your chose of club selection has to be correct, with a rocky hillside to your right and pecon protecting the green from the lake.

The 5th Hole is another short hole at 74mtrs in length, but again across the lake to another three tier green, running from back to front and right to left, but any position on this green will test you putting skills. The hole is also protected by long grass and an inviting sandy bunker to the left to catch any wayward shot.

The 6th Hole with more water to master on any wayward right hand shot, this 72mtr hole can cause no end of problems, with pecon and large bunkers to attract your tee shot this three tier green will challenge the best with a good tee shot a must.

The 7th Hole and into the Caldron, although only 62mtrs from the tee this hole is considered one of the hardest, as the hole can not be seen from the tee, and with it’s 30mtr green sweeping from left to right it can be over hit into the bunker or miss hit to pecon or long grass.

The 8th Hole is the longest on the course at 91mtrs and possibly the most challenging with large sandy bunkers right and left of this three tier 35mtr green. Once on the green it sweeps in a number of different directions and will test your putting skills to score well.

The 9th Hole and the final hole on this course is 88mtrs and will throw up a number of different challenges. The hole looks straight forward; however the prevailing North Westerly winds will play a big part in your club selection and make this a hole not to be underestimated. A three tier undulating green will test even the best.
