Tuesday 6th July was, as ever, a fantastic day for the society.
Once again, as we were in large numbers, we had groups teeing off
both the 10th tee as well as the 1st. Along with 19 of our members,
we also had 6 guests playing with us on the day. The society also
sponsored nearest the pin competitions on the 7th and 15th par 3
holes.
It was a beautiful sunny day, with a moderate wind that gradually
got stronger as the day progressed. Despite the wind, it seems that
this years Captain, Dave Cooper, who has been gradually getting
his game together over the last few weeks, had romped home with
an excellent score.
Our guests also played very well, especially Dennis
McKernon who won the guest prize, romping in with 32 points. Nearest
the pin on the 7th was won by Joan Roaden and nearest the pin on
the 15th, (just 3 feet away) was Tony Fawcett, from Chaplins Bar
in Caleta De Fuste. Tony also sank the 3 feet putt to win the ´2`s
competition winning himself 45 euro on a rollover!
Getting a shot back this week was Pete Thomas, now playing off 27.

and other improvements. Check it out to see who’s doing what
and when.
Our next society events are on Tuesday, 20th July
and Tuesday, 3rd August. Tee times are from 10.30
am.
