Not much I can say about this as I wasn't here, but the results speak for themselves. Another great turnout it seems of 23 people including 8 guests, two of which had impressive handicaps of 3 and 9. Also making a return after over a month away through injury, Jo McKernon earned herself another 3 society balls to add to her collection for getting nearest the pin on the 4th, and quite a feat achieved by guest Stuart Lane getting nearest the pin on the 12th. Normally you are quite content just to get over the stream on the 12th! Not close enough to the pins it seems to get birdies for the big rollover on the 2's comp, but Demon Dennis May sunk a putt on the par 3 15th earning him a tidy 142 euro! I hope Dennis celebrated his windfall with his partner and caddy Margaret, especially on Valentines' day!

  Judging by the scores it was not an easy day conditions wise, there was yet another card play off for 2nd place with 34 points. Paul Worrall (Egor), Peter Flynn and Tony Fawcett all got 34 points just 1 point behind the days winner, Dennis May with 35. A good day all round for our vice captain Dennis. The guest winner was Denzil Wrigley, Alan's son who scored 28 points.

  We are in the process of finalizing the Gran Canaria Trip to Salobre golf course. The trip is a 36 hole golf event on Salobre Golf Resort on the 3rd, 4th & 5th of April. We will be staying a luxury 4 star hotel over looking Puerto Rico marina with breakfast included, playing 2 rounds of golf with buggy, and the price of this including the golf, hotel, all transfers and flights plus the evening presentation meal comes to just 300 euro (270 for society members).
